Digital Radiography (CDR)
Are you concerned with the amount of X-rays to which you are exposed?

At Dr. Narang & Associates, we utilize cutting-edge technology called Computerized Digital Radiography to obtain images of your teeth. A small sensor is placed in your mouth which takes images that are stored in a computer. This method offers many advantages. The image is instantly displayed on the computer screen. This means no waiting for darkroom developing and no processing chemicals (so it is environment friendly).

Most importantly, you are exposed to only 1/10th the amount of radiation as with the old-style x-ray films! The image can even be enlarged and clarified to enhance the dentists' diagnostic ability - helping to discover problems when they are smaller. In the future, we predict that all dental offices will have this technology. Dr. Narang & Associates have it today!

Although our doctor's vision is excellent, they use Zeiss surgical microscopic loupes to magnify, observe, monitor, and refine even the smallest detail of each procedure they perform in caring for their patients.

Drill-Less Dentistry: A noise-free, pain-free alternative

At our office, a compact piece of equipment called the KCP 1000 Whisperjet is a revolutionary drill-less alternative for simple fillings. A fine particle stream under compressed air gently cuts the tooth. There's no vibration and no friction. This noise-free, pain-free, drill-free cavity preparation system is used for eligible adults and children. Patients, who dislike the drill, welcome the KCP Whisperjet as a gentle alternative.

Intra Oral Camera
Do you ever have difficulty picturing exactly what is happening in your mouth? Is it hard for you to imagine what the doctor is talking about while discussing problems or recommended treatment - especially when you don't feel like there is anything wrong?

We have the solution! Intra-oral cameras, no bigger than a common dental mirror, project enlarged images of teeth and gums on a television screen to aid the doctor in confirming his or her diagnosis. You can personally see developing problem areas before they become severe. A picture can be printed out on the spot too. You can take your picture home with you to share your hopes and desires with your family as you consider the possibilities of your smile.
